Drawing inspiration from the iris, we seek to blur the boundaries between ‘nature’ and ‘object’—allowing the iris unfolding in the morning light and the drooping spikes in the evening mist to bloom eternally with poetic grace within the space, through the medium of glass; furthermore, through the artisanal foundation of lost-wax casting and a philosophy of colour, we transform art into a ‘breath of light’ that illuminates everyday life.

I. The Source of Inspiration: Capturing Nature’s Spiritual Symbols

The iris is a spiritual symbol that transcends cultures: as the national flower of France, it embodies the philosophy of ‘light and freedom’; within an Eastern context, its graceful form resonates with an aesthetic ethos of ‘vitality and elegance’. We chose the iris not merely for its physical beauty, but for its innate magic to ‘connect nature and the soul’—the vitality of morning dew on its petals and the whisper of the evening breeze through its leaves offer a sense of ‘relaxation’ that urban dwellers yearn for yet rarely find.

II. The Craft Story: Capturing the ‘Moment of Bloom’ through Lost-Wax Casting

The precision of the lost-wax casting technique is the core language through which we recreate the textures of nature:

- During the wax modelling stage, the craftsman must meticulously sculpt the folds of the iris petals and the undulations of the leaf veins, ensuring that every contour replicates the growth trajectory of the real flower;
- When pouring the crystal glass, the material’s translucency interacts with the ‘gradient colouring technique’—pale green and pale purple naturally diffuse from the glass’s texture, like morning light sweeping over a flower bed or twilight staining the undersides of leaves, simulating the primal state of plants coexisting with light and shadow.

Ultimately, the crystal-clear transparency of the glass allows ‘light’ to become the work’s ‘second creator’: as light passes through, the petals appear to breathe, and the colours shift and transform with the viewer’s perspective. Thus, the static sculpture develops a dynamic, rhythmic pulse, as if the vitality of an entire season were sealed within the glass’s veins.

We hope this piece is not merely a decorative object, but a connector between people and space, and between people and nature:

Equipment includes 47 high-temperature box furnaces along with several manual and automatic sandblasting machines; it also features fully automated semi-automated systems for grinding, cutting, polishing etc., ensuring substantial production capabilities—making it a well-equipped enterprise in the industry known for its scale and mature technology in both glass production and supporting services.
